Silly man must shake off negative beliefs

I'm really astonished at a man who, in this day and age, thinks women are objects waiting to be used by men to prove a point.

I'm really astonished at a man who, in this day and age, thinks women are objects waiting to be used by men to prove a point.

I am talking about the guy who wrote about his girlfriend not falling pregnant.

This guy does not mention that he has consulted professionals in the fertility field, who confirmed that he cannot father children. He is merely going by his father's sayings. He cannot let his father's perception of him rule his life.

He should be consoled by the fact that there is a child in his present relationship, unless he ends up resenting the child because of his father's words.

I say to him: Wake up and smell the coffee, dude.

There is a lot that can be done. The first step would be professional counselling to assist him to eradicate his negative beliefs.

Secondly, a visit to a gynaecologist or obstetrician would establish if his partner can have more children.

And maybe he should go the church route if he has faith in God. All his issues will be over and he will be a better person.

He will never again have such evil thoughts as wanting to sleep with every woman he comes across. We need positive thoughts in the midst of our HIV-riddled country rather than a wish to bed every woman we can, no matter at what cost.

Good luck to him,

Ms P, Pimville

Thank you for your letter, sister. Your wisdom shines through and I hope this silly man reads your words and takes your advice to heart.

Thank you, again, for taking the time and trouble to give your advice.
