Though they welcomed the two new Education Ministers, the IFP has warned of challenges faced by ministers Blade Nzimande and Angie Motshekga.

The party has called on the government to make education free up to Grade 12.

The IFP says it believes that while the education system has made strides by providing access to education to more South Africans, the quality of education, however, remained worrying.

IFP education spokesperson Alfred Mpontshane said the government must do away with the half measures being experienced.

Mpontshane said education was the key to freeing people from poverty, and that they wanted to see access to education made free for all children.
