Jomo Cosmos have wasted no time in venturing into the transfer market to beef-up the team ahead of the return to the Absa Premiership next season.
Ezenkosi owner-coach Jomo Sono is spreading his wings throughout the continent in search of more quality players.
"We are going to unveil three players from other countries in Africa in the next few days, it will be a defender, midfielder and striker," said Sono.
"We have learnt from our mistakes and there is no way Jomo Cosmos will be relegated again."
The legendary Sono refused to divulge their names.
Cosmos have signed four new players from clubs National First Division clubs where they campaigned last season.
The four players are right-back Tshifhiwa Mambooi and midfielders Gerald Modabi, both from Dynamos, Tornado Mongale, who played for the relegated FC AK and striker Themba Maringa, who comes from Nedbank Cup finalists University of Pretoria.
The gifted Modabi has also had a stint at Orlando Pirates, while Maringa used to play for Mamelodi Sundowns. He has also represented the South African with the under-23 side.
"We are happy with the first group of players we have signed as part of our preparations for the campaign in the Premiership," said Cosmos manager Andrew Rabutla.
"Our coach has been working hard and we are confident that the team we will assemble next season will make our supporters proud."
Sono has decided to reward the team that gained promotion to the Premiership by offering them an incentive of R600000.
"The coach is giving them R300000, which is over and above the R300000 that we got for winning the First Division title," said Rabutla.
