Only two of Mpumalanga's previous MECs have been included in new premier David Mabuza's cabinet, which was announced yesterday.
Former finance MEC Jabu Mahlangu has moved to economic development, environment and tourism, while Pinky Phosa takes over finance.
Former public works MEC Madala Masuku now heads human settlements.
The culture, sport and recreation portfolio is now headed by Vusi Shongwe. MEC for community safety, security and liaison is Sibongile Manana, andClifford Mukasi has been appointed MEC for public works, roads and transport.
Dikeledi Mahlangu is MEC for health and social development, Meshack Malinga is MEC for agriculture, rural development and land administration, and Regina Mhaule is MEC for education. Norman Mokoena is MEC for co-operative governance and traditional affairs.
Mabuza said the new executive would promote inclusive governance, transparency and be accountable to the sectors and people of the province.
"Over the next five years, we will be hard at work to realise the five key objectives we have set ourselves as the governing party," said Mabuza.
"The overwhelming mandate enjoins us to do more in order to consolidate democracy and expand the horizons of freedom," he added.
