The Lethal Weapon star this week stood with union bosses as well as political and civil-rights leaders to take part in the first stop of a four-day trek in a bid to support industry workers.
He told union employees at a rally in Detroit, Michigan, that the "deindustrialisation of the nation" had begun in the state, but that the workers could be "the architects of their own rescue".
