Generations lead actor and musician Seputla Sebogodi's wife is leaving him, citing infidelity and emotional abuse.

Sowetan can reveal that yesterday Shereen Maubane moved her belongings out of their Centurion, Pretoria, home.

In 2006 the actor, who plays Kenneth Mashaba in Generations, dumped his third wife, Leonette Sebogodi, via an SMS.

In an interview, Maubane said: "He abuses me emotionally and I can't take it any longer. He has a tendency of disappearing for days, claiming to be at Moria. Each time he wants to disappear he starts a fight. After that his cellphone will be switched off."

She says in December Sebogodi disappeared for two days with her Corsa utility van.

With the help of a tracking company, Maubane found her husband with another woman in Soshanguve, Pretoria.

"When I arrived at the address I was shocked to be met by a young woman. She looked at me with an attitude and told me to remove the car. Seputla did not say a word," she said.

Maubane said the final straw was when Sebogodi failed to honour a family meeting he had requested on Saturday.

"All my relatives cancelled their commitments because they wanted to give him a hearing. He phoned saying he was in Lebowakgomo [Limpopo] and that we should give him two hours.

"After a couple of hours he phoned to tell us that he was not coming because he was driving to Polokwane. I asked him to return my car but he leftit at Polokwane police station," she said.

One of Sebogodi's former wives, Futhi Sebogodi, is suing for maintenance of their 10-year-old son Sebogodi Sebogodi .

Attempts yesterday to reach Sebogodi failed as all his cellphones were off.
