Police in Katlehong, in Ekurhuleni, arrested 172 people at the weekend.
Gauteng police said yesterday the suspects were arrested for assault, house-breaking, robbery, alcohol-related offences, possession of a stolen vehicles and property.
Others were arrested on "suspicion of being illegal immigrants", police spokesperson Captain Mega Ndobe said.
Police also recovered a black VW Golf and confiscated 1670kg of dagga, Ndobe said.
A tombstone was found on an open field near a gravel road on Sunday night.
