Police have arrested three officers in connection with the murder of a Durban reservist who was a key witness in a case where 15 firearms were taken at gunpoint from a beach front satellite station in February.
Captain Thulani Zwane said Musa Thusi, 45, was preparing to leave for work from his home in Umzinyathi, near Inanda, when he was confronted at 4.45am.
"He was shot several times and died at the scene. Nine spent 9mm cartridges were found at the scene," said Zwane.
Zwane said three police reservists had been arrested in connection with the killing.
"He was our important witness in that case, which baffled us. But now he has been killed," said Zwane. - Canaan Mdletshe
