In a concerted effort to build a strong team to steer the province to greener pastures, Limpopo premier Cassel Mathale has appointed seasoned campaigners to sit on strategic committees.
Among the top appointments are Rudolph Phala and Merriam Ramadwa, Speaker and deputy Speaker of the provincial legislature respectively.
To ensure the province is handled by people who are passionate about service delivery issues, Mathale has appointed Cosatu provincial secretary Jan Tsiane as chairperson of committees to replace Elias Nong - who is now the ANC chief whip in the provincial legislature.
Pitsi Moloto has been appointed MEC for economic development, environment and tourism.
"I have appointed a team that will surely not let me down," said Mathale.
