Sowetan will join its sister newspapers in the Avusa stable of newspapers.

This means that we will now share the 4 Bierman Avenue offices with The Sunday Times, The Times and Business Day. Sunday World, with whom we have shared the 61 Commando Road offices, will also move to its new home in Rosebank.

Winnie Madikizela-Mandela: "Sowetan is moving? No, that cannot be. I am not happy about this at all."

Pallo Jordan: "Do they have to pay higher rent in Rosebank? No? Then it is fine."

Blade Nzimande: "It is a pity because it was very good for Sowetan to remain as close as possible to Soweto."

Mosibudi Mangena: "In Industria West, Sowetan was nearer to the townships. It was a feature of Commando Road every time one drove past and it will really be missed."
