DJ Chubbi is about to face some cold nights as the first icy winds of winter turn our homes and offices into cooler boxes.

Tasked with hotting up the airwaves this YFM DJ takes on the night shift with his show Light It Up, from 9pm to 12 midnight, wafting into your cars and homes to warm your ears with his smooth tunes.

It's a tough job but someone has to do it, so we thought he could use a little help keeping warm.

We asked him to test five brands of hot chocolate to look for that satisfying, taste that will help us Highvelders make it through winter.

He had a sip of the Nestlé "rich and foamy" hot chocolate. It says "just add water" on the packaging, but when we did this Chubbi thought the drink wasn't chocolatey enough.

Milo is an old classic, also by Nestlé.

"This hot drink is a real winner, though I think it tastes better with hot milk," he said.

Though Chubbi didn't take to the Beacon's Milk Drinking Chocolate packaging he found it tasted good.

"The granules dissolved well. It's light and has good flavour."

Cadbury Bournville Cocoa was next and "has a dark chocolate taste I find too bitter. I would have to add a lot of sugar".

Chubbi liked the Pick n Pay Choice hot chocolate most. "It's well-flavoured, dissolves easily and you don't have to add sugar."

He found it was rich and surprisingly tasty.

"I would definitely choose this one."
