Superintendent Abie Khoabane said the man, in his early 20s, was arrested on Monday and will face a charge of attempted rape.
Khoabane said the man allegedly entered a room where a woman was taking a bath on Monday and tried to rape her.
"When the woman tried to phone for help the man grabbed her cellphone and threw it away.
"The man fled when the woman started screaming for help," he said.
The suspect is expected to appear in the Siyabuswa magistrate's court soon, Khoabane said. - Sapa
