Harari of old to take on Boksburg

This Friday one of the biggest events on Gauteng's entertainment calendar happens at Birchwood Executive Hotel in Boksburg.

For starters one will be able to indulge in the music of the 80s South African pop group Harari, which has regrouped in the past few months.

Although the group is mainly anchored by Sipho Hotstix Mabuse, this time around Harari will feature him on some of the band's songs, while as Hotstix he will perform his own songs.

On his own Hotstix, has carved a successful career, particularly as a live performer, and has up to an extent ditched his pop music for jazz.

That is not all. Diners will also be entertained by the Brass Band headed by another veteran of the 80s, Condry Ziqubu, pictured.

Formed a few years ago, this band used to be called the Alexandra Brass Band, and has since changed their name to the Brass Band.

They perform a selection of music that demonstrates what kind of diverse society we are in terms of musical richness.
