Is Mosiuoa Lekota going to serve his divorce papers on Cope if things don't go his way? One moment we are told Lekota is not going to Parliament, and next we hear he is.
This happens just when we thought the matter was settled! The Cope leader is behaving like an immature teenager. Late ANC stalwart and former safety and security minister Steve Tshwete once referred to Bantu Holomisa as a "factory fault".
Tshwete uttered those words after the legendary Nelson Mandela tried and failed to convince Holomisa to come back to the ANC after he had resigned.
I also think Lekota is a "factory fault" - no offence intended but, unlike Holomisa, I doubt if the ANC would want him back. He would add no value. As a matter of fact, I say good riddance!
Lekota seems to thrive on controversy, just like former SABC head of news Snuki Zikalala.
The Cope leader is in fact a liability to the party, and most party members can't wait to see the back of him. Lekota is uncontrollable, a control freak and powermonger.
The pertinent question is: how is Cope going to deal with Lekota? The best and only way is to get rid of him. He's also unable to control his emotions. I doubt anger management will do him any good. Diplomacy and shrewdness are not his strong points. In simple terms, the man does not possess leadership qualities.
