Rapper/actor Ice-T is negotiating a deal with Nick Cannon to appear as a guest judge on his new television competition America's Got Talent .

The programme producers announced in February that Cannon would replace Jerry Springer as the show's new MC.

Cannon has already enlisted his wife Mariah Carey to make an appearance in a once-off episode.

According to the New York Daily News, Cannon has told the rapper he'd "love to" have him join his wife as one of the guest judges for an upcoming episode.

Ice-T reportedly told Cannon: "I want to guest judge. When I heard you were the emcee, I was like, I gotta get this!"
