Bulls coach Frans Ludeke is a worried man after his team failed to score a home bonus point in their 32-29 victory over Western Force in the Super 14 encounter at Loftus on Saturday.

This is the second time Bulls have failed to score four tries on home soil following their 33-27 win over Chiefs a fortnight ago.

In both games, Bulls showed mettle and played with determination but failed to gain bonus points.

Bulls captain Victor Matfield said: "Yes, it is a great concern to everybody. However, we are happy with a win and hope to qualify for the semifinals."

Ludeke's team must win with bonus points in their last two ties to secure a home semifinal.

They meet Cheetahs in Pretoria on Saturday and Sharks in Durban on May 16.

On Saturday, Bulls flyhalf Morne Steyn's performance proved he was a contender for the position in the Boks.

He scored 14 points.

The Bulls points came via Bryan Habana, Werner Kruger and Zane Kirchner, and Morne four penalties and a conversion.

The visitors collected bonus points

Other results: Chiefs 28, Stormers 14; Sharks 23, Highlanders 15; Brumbies 52, Reds 13; Waratahs 18, Cheetahs 10; Crusaders 32, Lions 20; Hurricanes 45, Blues 27
