ANTANANARIVO - Fresh clashes have broken out in Madagascar after last month's seizure of power by Andry Rajoelina.

After a military crackdown on protestors last week left seven demonstrators dead, a military personnel carrier was blown up on Sunday with Molotov cocktails, reports said yesterday.

This triggered explosions at the munitions store at the barracks outside Antananarivo, which injured one soldier.

In the ensuing panic soldiers fired at random.

Last month's protests have left at least 100 people dead. - Sapa-dpa
