KwaZulu-Natal police are investigating the mystery killing of an elderly Pietermaritzburg woman.
The body of Lantombi Ngubane was found on the ground outside her home on Wednesday night. She had been assaulted.
Police spokesperson Hendry Budhram said Ngubane and her friend were sleeping in the same room that evening and the friend later discovered her body outside the house.
Budhram appealed to anyone with information to contact Superintendent Mandlenkosi Mlangeni on 033-098- 975.
Pietermaritzburg police are also investigating another mystery killing of a 28-year-old man in Sweetwaters.
The man was found lying in front of his car with multiple stab wounds. Police said Sibusiso Shelembe was driving along the main road when he was attacked.
The car keys and his belongings were found inside the vehicle.
