Rhythm Citystar Zenzo Ngqobe is fast earning himself a name in television and theatre.

Ngqobe, who plays Stone Khuse in the e.tv soapie, has landed another role in a play called The Hill.

The show is an adaptation of Zakes Mda's novel of the same name, which was published in 1980. The book was translated into nine South African languages and won Mda an award. The play is directed by award-winning James Ngcobo.

Ngqobe will be acting with Bongani Madondo, Thibedi Tindisa, Harriet Manamela and Phindi Mahlangu, among others.

The Hill is schedules to run at the State Theatre, Pretoria, from April 25 until May 10.

The play captures the experiences of mine recruits. It talks about two men in Maseru waiting for their papers from the Native Recruitment Council, which will allow them to come and work in South Africa .

While waiting a lot happens. They come face-to-face with the evils of bribery.

Ngqobe is an accomplished actor whose career started at he Mmabana Cultural Centre in Mafikeng.

He got his biggest television role in Rhythm Cityinwhich he has done well.

Ngqobe has done Relativity and Cards . He also starred in the award wommomg film Tsotsi and Blood Diamond .
