The South African Rugby Union has confirmed the dates and kickoff times for this weekend's quarterfinals in the R1million Vodacom Cup.

The first quarter-final will take place on Friday with South Section winners the Sharks XV hosting the Golden Lions at the Absa Stadium in Durban at 5pm.

The other three ties will take place on Saturday.

Reigning champions the Blue Bulls, winners of the North Section, host Western Province at Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria at 2pm. The match is the curtain-raiser to the Vodacom Super 14 clash between the Bulls and the Chiefs.

GWK Griquas host last year's losing finalists Free State at the GWK Stadium in Kimberley at 3pm on Saturday while the SWD Eagles are at home against the Platinum Leopards at Outeniqua Park in George, with the kickoff at 5pm.

Five of the 2009 qualifiers - the Bulls, Griquas, Leopards, Sharks and WP will be making their third consecutive appearance in the quarterfinals.

The Lions and Free State also qualified last year while the Eagles are the only team not to have reached the playoffs under the current tournament format.

The Bulls, Griquas and Leopards will be bidding to reach the semifinals for the third season in succession.
