Police have arrested three men allegedly involved in two brazen robberies at an audio visual appliance store in Woodmead Retail Park in the past 30 days.

On Friday, a heavily armed gang carrying R5 rifles, AK-47s and pump-action shotguns stormed into three shops and took various electrical appliances, including plasma screen television sets.

Police spokesperson Inspector Sanku Tsunke said the men aged between 29 and 30 were arrested on Monday in Meadowlands, Soweto.

"They face charges of armed robbery, attempted murder and possession of stolen property," he said.
