Police spokesperson Neldah Hlase yesterday said the 35-year-old woman and a friend had been asleep in her shack in Ivory Park on Sunday night when she heard a window open.
She saw a man pointing a firearm at her through the window. He ordered her to open the door. He entered the shack, took her outside, leaving her friend inside. He allegedly raped the woman and returned to the shack to steal cellphones and other items. The women were too scared and went to another man for help.
However, during the night the women woke up to find the man on top of the woman who was allegedly raped, trying to rape her. The two overpowered him and called police. The man was arrested. - Sapa
