Entries for the 21st Sanlam National Music Competition for budding instrumentalists at primary schools will close on Friday. Auditions will be held in Cape Town, Bloemfontein, Pretoria, Durban and Port Elizabeth in June.
The competition will be held at the Hugo Lambrechts Music Centre in Parow, Cape Town, from September 21 to 25.
The four categories include piano, strings, woodwind and brass instruments. Percussion, recorder, classical guitar and harp will also make a showing.
