Students' organisations in Limpopo have threatened to remove electioneering posters of political parties - except those of the ANC - ahead of the polls.

Yesterday's warning by Cosas and Sasco comes after classes were disrupted in the province because of a students' rally in Modimolle.

The student bodies have maintained that all poles in the country belonged to the ANC.

Last week, a number of posters were removed from poles in Seshego, the hometown of ANC Youth League president Julius Malema.

The Independent Electoral Commission said to remove posters was an offence . Polokwane police said affected parties must lay charges so that cases could be investigated.
