Softball South Africa's national senior men's team, Simunye's preparations for the World Series are not going as planned due to poor funding.
The World Series takes place in Canada from July 12 to 27.

"We will engage the National Lottery who usually assist us with funds and also the department of sports because it is difficult to arrange camps for the team.
"We also need assistance for the under-16 girls team that is expected to participate in an international event in August in Prague," said Marapyane who left for Gambia last night for an International Softball Federation meeting.
Tommy Kgomo, Simunye's head coach said they will play international friendly matches against Botswana on May 1 and 2 in Atteridgeville .
"We hope that the two matches will assist us in trying winning combinations and strategies. Our main concern is the little time that we have for preparations that's attributed to poor funding," said Kgomo.
