Free State Stars are going all out for a comprehensive win over Ajax Cape town in the knowledge that it will push them up four places to fourth on the log.

Ea Lla Koto welcome the Urban Warriors at Goble Park in Bethlehem in the only Absa Premiership match taking place today. Kickoff is at 3pm.

Stars, who were languishing at the bottom of the log at the beginning of the season, are fresh from a 2-0 win over Thanda Royal Zulu in a league match last Wednesday.

That win saw them move into the top eight for the first time since Steve Komphela joined them as joint coach.

Ajax are also on cloud nine after beating stubborn First Division side Winners Park 2-0 in the Nedbank Cup in Seshego on Saturday. They can also climb from seventh to fourth place with a win.

Sthembiso Ngcobo, Stars striker, said they were geared up for a tough match, and hoped to avenge a 2-0 loss to Ajax.

"It's a crucial game for us because a win will see us lying fourth on the log. There is no way Ajax will have a taste of even a single point," he said.

Thulani Serero, Ajax midfielder, said they wanted to maintain their winning rhythm after beating Winners Park.

Stars welcome back inspirational captain, Duncan Lechesa from suspension after he missed the game against Thanda Royal Zulu.

All their players are available for selection.
