After months of lonely nights, Miles Vilakazi in the e.tv soapie Rhythm City is no longer single.
Tonight viewers will be introduced to Andisa, Vilakazi's new love. She is played by Amanda Quwe, a woman who will make his head spin.
Their actual date will take place in Monday's episode where Vilakazi (Peter Sephuma) will meet "Mrs Right".
He won't waste time. He will be swearing true love and pledging total commitment to their relationship and vowing not to hurt her - from the word go.
Quwe is a seasoned actress who is making a return after taking some time off acting.
Her last appearance on television was in Muvhango from 2003 to 2005 where she played the role of a lawyer.
Explaining her character yesterday, Quwe said: "Andisa is a beautiful, intelligent, sophisticated and caring woman.
"She is a very strong person who has gone through what other women have. I like her strengths and weaknesses."
Born in Ashton, Zolani Township in the Western Cape, Quwe took time out from acting to focus on learning a lot about production and studying.
"Now that I have been out of the action for a while it feels great to return with an exciting character like this one.
"I have fallen in love with my character."
She made a name in the acting world when she appeared in a drama series Abakwazidenge in 1992, in which she played the role of Zuziwe.
Boasting 16 years of experience, Quwe has learnt a lot in the industry. She says although the industry is full of challenges, the journey has been a wonderful one.
"You enjoy the industry when you are in the driving seat."
Quwe holds a national diploma in food technology, a diploma in marketing management and an advanced diploma in business management.
She has appeared in shows such as Generations , Yizo Yizo , Tsha Tsha and Soul City among others.
She has also performed on stage at the V&A Waterfront Theatre and at the Civic Theatre in Johannesburg.
