ANC Youth League president Julius Malema said he was considering a meeting with ANC president Jacob Zuma to convince him "not to pursue" charges against those believed to have influenced the NPA to charge him - saying the move would only serve to strengthen Cope.
Malema was speaking during an ANC's event to celebrate the dropping of charges against Zuma at the Jack Botes Hall in Polokwane, Limpopo, on Monday night.
"I will meet with Jacob Zuma to talk about the (unwanted) possibility of strengthening the opposition, especially Cope, by pursuing charges against the people implicated in the initial charges against him," said Malema.
Yesterday Malema met with the tenants of China Trading Centre and Dragon City in Johannesburg as part of the mediation process he started last month. The meeting included the Chinese embassy.
Malema assured the tenants of a good outcome to their dispute.
