The Sasol Women's League had an outstanding weekend in Limpopo this weekend, with four provincial teams battling it out at Malamulele Stadium.
While the province started with their matches on February 28, on Saturday they were accompanied by roadshows aimed at promoting the game in the area.
Safa women's league officer Lucy Ramaube said the league and sponsors Sasol were satisfied with proceedings and were encouraged that the local community was totally behind the game.
"The local people made this event a success. The department of sport in the province went out of their way to accommodate us and we are confident the league will be fully supported," Ramaube said.
Limpopo has 12 teams, and four of them were in action on Saturday. Ma-Indies and Development Ladies played to a 2-all draw and Mphahlele Ladies thrashed Vunza Ladies 7-0.
