Manuel "Tico Tico" Bucuane has warned his Jomo Cosmos team-mates to be cautious despite Saturday's 1-0 victory over FC AK.
The win edges Ezenkosi closer to a National First Division (NFD) inland stream championship. The win puts the team four points clear on top of the league, with two games to go.
"This is the most crucial phase of the league where we need to concentrate and work hard. We've done a great job so far but we need not get carried away," said the Mozambique-born international. Bucuane believes that the hard job still lies ahead.
"We still have to play Dynamos (April 18) at home and Witbank Spurs (May 2) away who are all fighting against relegation. We need to get at least three points in one of these games to secure the title and it will not be easy, it gets tougher".
"From there we will face the champions from the Coastal stream before we realise our dream of returning to the elite league," he said.
Moving into the Coastal stream, Carara Kicks beat neighbours African Warriors 4-1 to intensify their chances of winning the league.
They now top the log with 36 points, followed by FC Cape Town, who beat Nathi Lions 2-1, with 35-points from the same number of outings.
