Fifteen police officers in Bellville, Western Cape, are under investigation for murder, the Independent Complaints Directorate said yesterday.
The officers were allegedly involved in the murder of Sidwell Mkwambi, whose body was found in a police vehicle parked outside the Tygerberg forensic pathology services office on February 10, said the directorate's spokesperson Dikeledi Phiri.
"A postmortem was conducted and it was established that Mkwambi died as a result of multiple blunt trauma to the body.
"The directorate envisages finalising the matter as soon as it obtains reports from forensics and conducts an outstanding identity parade." - Sapa
