The Greater Letaba municipality will spend a big chunk of its next capital development budget on street lights in crime hot spots.

Mayor Joshua Matlou said yesterday that street lighting would go up in Lebaka, Phaphadi, Mamphakgathi and Sekgosese villages and more street lighting would be installed in GaKgapane township.

Matlou tabled the municipality's R1145million budget for 2009/10 at a special council sitting at Itireleng village near Modjadjiskloof on Tuesday.
