Batswana catch Bafana

Hundreds of soccer lovers from Botswana are expected in Phokeng on Saturday for the Nelson Mandela Challenge game between Bafana Bafana and Norway.

Hundreds of soccer lovers from Botswana are expected in Phokeng on Saturday for the Nelson Mandela Challenge game between Bafana Bafana and Norway.

George Khunou, managing director of Royal Bafokeng Sports, announced yesterday that 12 busses will be ferrying Batswana to the match.

The game is part of the festivities to reopen the Royal Bafokeng Sports Palace, which has been upgraded for the Confederations Cup and 2010 World Cup.

"We have a solid relationship with a government-initiated task team dealing with 2010 World Cup projects in Botswana," said Khunou.

"I was informed that 12 busses will be coming. More people are expected as the game has generated a lot of interest in Botswana.

l With more than half of the 43 500 tickets sold for this game, fans are urged to buy theirs to avoid missing out.

Tickets can be bought at Computicket, Shoprite and Checkers. No ticket will be sold on match day.
