Police in Kwazulu-Natal have warned those linked to a multi-billion rand international pornographic syndicate that their days are numbered.

It has emerged that the police task team, launched in the province six months ago, has now identified key business leaders of a syndicate involved in human trafficking, brothels, prostitution and pornography.

Police spokesperson Vincent Mdunge said yesterday that "investigators do not want to reveal too much right now" for fear of jeopardising their case.

"I can confirm that the culprits are known."

The launch of the task team was prompted by the case involving the attempted kidnapping of four under-aged schoolgirls six months ago.

The schoolgirls were destined for sale in foreign countries.
