Things are getting hectic for some teams in the different leagues across the continent as challenges are mounted on the home front and in African competition.

Running side by side with local leagues, the Confederation of African Football (Caf) sees its premier events, the Champions League and the Confederations Cup, moving into higher levels.

Catching up with these events was not going to be easy were it not for the African Soccer Television show.

The highlights package is screened on SABC1 Sport's Laduma programme on Sundays at 2.30pm.

This week sees action from Togo's National Championship League in which ASKO de KARA beat Togo Telecom 3-1 while AC Merlan accounted for Foadan FC with a 2-0 whipping.

Then it's off to the Girabola League's round 3 in Angola where 1º de Agosto showed no mercy to Clube Recreativo da Caála, who they clobbered 3-1 while in round 2 Santos FC posted a 2-0 win over 1º de Maio and CD Huila went down by the same margin to Petro Atletico.

In Malawi, the 2009 Bingu Football Cup action saw Escom Reserves humiliate BNC Produsak 4-0 in a one-sided final.

There are also highlights from the 2009 Caf Confederations Cup round of 32 games which saw a goalless draw between Caps United and Enppi. Malanti Chiefs went down 1-3 to AS Vita Club.

The show also continues with the Yes We Can promotion of the 2009 Fifa Confederations Cup and 2010 World Cup tournaments in South Africa.
