Sheryl Cwele, wife of Intelligence Minister Siyabonga Cwele, was allegedly implicated in the arrest of a KwaZulu-Natal woman allegedly caught with about R3million worth of raw cocaine in Brazil.
The municipal manager, S'bu Mkhize, has been ordered by Mayor Nolwazi Shusha to investigate the allegations against Cwele - the municipality's director of health.
The allegations were reported to the municipality nine months ago. The woman, Tessa Beetge, and Cwele had allegedly been communicating for over a month until Beetge's arrest at Sao Paolo Airport on June 13. - Sapa
