Water vital for all living things

One can live without food for more than a month, but can't stay alive for more than a week without water. All living things need water for their bodies to function. When you eat , water helps to dissolve the food and with the chemicals in the body, it turns the food into energy . These chemicals can work only in water. Water is also needed to carry waste out of your body. Since you lose water as you breathe and sweat, you have to have about 2,4 litres of water a day to stay healthy.
