Bus crisis has exposed ANC

Cope in KwaZulu-Natal is calling on the ANC to dismiss Mike Sutcliffe for the inconvenience he and his administration have caused our people and pupils, left stranded because of the drivers' strike in Durban.

The privatisation of buses to the consortium dominated by ANC big guns further proves that the ANC is corrupt to the core at the expense of commuters and drivers.

It further illustrates that the eThekwini metro council is a milking cow for ANC big guns. Even today the ANC has failed to investigate the awarding of tenders to ANC staff by the council.

Cope will mobilise our people to demand the expulsion of Sutcliffe by the ANC caucus. Our people cannot suffer because of the mess done to enrich ANC big guns, some very close to their president, Jacob Zuma.

Further, , the ANC has been exposed for incompetence and disregard for the poorest of the poor. The ANC must also come clean as to who are the beneficiaries of this consortium.

We also want an update on the report of financial assistance the eThekwini municipality has been giving to the bus company and how much it owes the council.

Siyanda Mhlongo, KZNspokesperson - Cope
