Rap mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs was forced to defend his decision to let Chris Brown and Rihanna use his Miami, Florida, home to repair their shattered romance when he appeared on national TV this week.

Photos of a smiling Brown riding around on one of Diddy's jet skis - weeks after allegedly beating his girlfriend - stunned the world.

And now the rapper is at the centre of the controversy after confirming he gave his friends the keys to his home, "so they could reconcile".

US talk show host Ellen DeGeneres took Combs to task for his decision on Tuesday.

She asked Combs, "Why would you do that?

"Why would you give Chris, a guy who hit a girl . I don't understand."

Combs replied, "I know both of them, it's my house and I'm allowed to give my house to whoever I want to give my house to.

"I'm the type of person that I don't cast a stone or cast a judgment on anybody, so if a friend or friends ask me for a favour, then I'm gonna be there for a favour, as long as I know that the energy of the favour is positive." - Wenn
