A man caught in a love triangle feud was hacked to death in Mtubatuba, northern Zululand, on Sunday.
Mfolozi police spokesperson Captain Jabulani Mdletshe said that the two men fought over a woman, resulting in one of them being hacked to death and the other suffering serious injuries as a result of the fight.
"Two men from Mshaya area outside Mtubatuba fought over a woman using dangerous weapons on Sunday.
"One man was carrying a bush knife [panga] and the other had a knife," said Mdletshe.
He said the suspect, who suffered serious injuries, was taken to Hlabisa Hospital where he is under police guard.
He said the woman has gone into hiding.
