The Local Organising Committee plans to roll out massive promotional materials for the Confederations Cup from the airports to strategic places in the streets of South Africa.
Danny Jordaan, the LOC's chief executive officer, said more promotional materials of the "Festival of Champions" will be visible in the streets in the next few weeks.
This was after Jerome Valcke, Fifa general secretary, raised concerns on Tuesday that the promotion of the Confederations Cup was not good enough.
Valcke said he was disappointed that from the hotel where he is staying to Safa House, there was no Confederations Cup promotional material in the streets.
"The next time the SG [Valcke] will be here for a board meeting, there will be more promotional material from the airport," said Jordaan.
The LOC will also be working closely with the marketing people of all the Premiership clubs as part of the Confederations Cup mass mobilisation process.
That will also include the campaign to urge more South Africans to apply for tickets for the Confederations Cup and 2010 World Cup.
Valcke yesterday started a two-day inspection tour of all four Confederations Cup host cities to assess the progress. The cities are Johannesburg (Ellis Park Stadium), Tshwane (Loftus Stadium), Rustenburg (Royal Bafokeng Stadium) and Mangaung (Free State Stadium).
He was also scheduled to watch the Absa Premiership match between Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns at Ellis Park last night.
Ellis Park will be the centre of attraction during the Confederations Cup as it will serve as the venue for the opening and closing ceremonies.
Valcke said the visit will also enable him to update the Fifa executive committee during their next meeting on South Africa's readiness for the tournament.
Valcke praised LOC chairperson Irvin Khoza, saying he has been professional in conducting their board meetings.
