Millions intended to be spent on the health needs of Eastern Cape residents have gone missing from d.
The co-presenter of the popular SABC2 morning breakfast show Morning Live is expecting her first child.
Leanne Manas and her co-host Vuyo Mbuli broke the news of Manas's pregnancy on the show yesterday. It was a pre-emptive strike of sorts because, for a while now, viewers have been wondering why Manas, who wed a few years ago, has been putting on weight.
Before breaking the news they kept viewers guessing for more than an hour, with Mbuli repeatedly saying there would be an important announcement at 7.30am.
"I cannot keep it a secret any more.
"I am expecting a baby, an addition to Morning Live," said a blushing Manas.
Mbuli congratulated his co-presenter. "So the big news is that Leanne and her husband Mark are expecting a baby."
But Manas did not know the sex of the baby.
"We are only going to find out the sex of the baby today (yesterday)," she added.
Manas, who formerly worked on the Business Updates and Business Focus programmes on SABC3, joined Morning Live in 2004. She replaced Michelle Garforth, who had lasted a few months on the show.
Manas and Mbuli have made it sexy to watch Morning Live over the years as they seem to have a magical on-screen chemistry.
