This sermon will serve as a psychological therapy to the wounded Moroka Swallows whose wings were clipped by Santos on Wednesday night.

Swallows were brought down to earth by a 1-0 loss.

Swallows' general manager Sipho Xulu assured the club's followers not to lose hope. He said the Birds would bounce back and continue their fight for Absa Premiership honours.

"Akulahlwa mbeleko ngakufelwa" (don't lose hope), he said yesterday.

Swallows have a tough assignment tomorrow night against Free State Stars.

This high-powered clash takes place at Rustenburg's Olympia Park Stadium at 8,15pm.

Swallows should blame themselves for the Santos defeat. The Birds seem to have become complacent since defeating Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates at the same venue a few weeks ago.

Granted, Swallows confirmed themselves as champions of Soweto derbies, but that had absolutely nothing to do with the fight for league honours where the going is getting tougher now.

Stars are currently placed 10th on the league table.

Swallows are sixth, eight points off the pace.
