Boxing promoter Fezile Mabuya, pictured, will present a seven-bout programme at the Thabong Community Hall on March 8.

Dubbed Mandela Birthday International Show, this development tournament comprises four men and three women international professional fights. Topping the bill will be a ten round junior welterweight bout between Thulani Mkhwanazi and Ali Phiri from Zimbabwe.

The other fights: Thabiso Moorosi will face Benet Lichakane in the junior flyweight division over eight rounds; Telo Dithebe will fight Themba Lesiba over six junior featherweight rounds; Phumlani Sigwela and Pule Thamai will square off in four strawweight rounds.

The female bouts: Monalisa Zereki from Zimbabwe faces Queen Tshabalala over six middleweight rounds; Ester Mashiya and Rita Mrwedi will meet in the middleweight class; Lillian Mulala will fight Joan Muzari in the super middleweight class.

These female fights will be contested over four two-minute rounds. Admission is free. Action is scheduled to kick off at 2pm.
