The trial of a 40-year-old man accused of selling young girls for sex was yesterday postponed at the Durban regional court because two witnesses were not present.
The man was remanded in custody until his next appearance on March 5.
The recently paroled Sierra Leone national has been charged with contravening at least six sections of the Sexual Offences Act, and is charged with the sexual exploitation of children.
According to the charge sheet, on June 5 last year "the accused allegedly received R2000 from a man for arranging the two complainants [young girls] to have sexual intercourse" with clients. - Sapa
