Western Cape police are investigating murder charges after seven Zimbabweans burnt to death in their shack in De Doorns near Worcester.

Captain Marie Louw said yesterday that people who witnessed the incident told them the fire was started on purpose, changing their inquest to a murder investigation.

Four men and three women, aged between 23 and 40, died on Sunday after their shack caught fire at Stofland informal settlement.

No arrests have yet been made. - Sapa
