The star-studded Cobras will have the upper hand when they engage Diamond Eagles in the Standard Bank Pro20 final at Sahara Park Newlands tomorrow at 6pm.

Both sides were made to sweat by their semifinal opponents in the third leg of the semifinals on Wednesday.

The Cobras beat the Dolphins 6-3 in a power-over in Durban after the scores were tied, while the Eagles edged the Warriors by 16-5 in a power-over triumph in Port Elizabeth.

Cape Town's Cobras boast Proteas players like captain Graham Smith, Justin Ontong, Herschelle Gibbs and JP Duminy, right , in their fold.

Duminy, who became a super star during the Proteas' tour of Australia recently, will be centre of attraction. In their semifinal decider against the Dolphins, Duminy played the perfect innings as he ended on 53 not out, off 46 balls.

The Eagles have no big names in their squad but they have a number of talented and hungry youngsters . In an interview with yesterday, Eagles coach Corrie van Zyl prayed for his charges not to be intimated by the situation.

"We are facing a mammoth task in the Cobras at home. Hopefully they won't be overawed by the Cobras supporters and will instead rise to the occasion," he said.

The Eagles' left-arm seamer Jacob Coetzee is likely to pose problems for the Cobras with his deceptive slower ball. He will be ably supported by Thandi Tshabalala, left, CJ de Villiers and Boeta Dippenaar.
