The Law Lords' ruling was a victory for the Home Office in its campaign to deport Jordanian Abu Qatada, who denies belonging to al Qaeda, and overturns a previous Court of Appeal decision.
Qatada was sentenced to life imprisonment in Jordan for terrorist attacks in 1998.
The Law Lords also ruled in favour of the government over its attempt to deport two other men to Algeria. - Reuters
