New homes make families happy

There was jubilation for thousands of poor residents on the North Coast when a R37million housing project was unveiled.

Groutville, the home town of Africa's first Nobel laureate and former ANC president Chief Albert Luthuli, came alive yesterday as residentscelebrated being new homeowners.

Unveiling the project at Albert Luthuli Centre sports grounds, housing MEC Mike Mabuyakhulu said his department has set itself the target of delivering 1million houses.
