Gauteng premier Paul Mashatile is expected to deliver a glowing state of the province address on Monday.
Mashatile is expected to emphasize economic growth and job creation, which came through various projects such as the Gautrain and the expanded public works programme.
He is expected not to ignore successes of the aggravated crime strategy he devised with senior provincial police management.
The strategy resulted in several violent cash-in-transit robberies being foiled in December last year and included installing CCTV cameras in strategic places.
He will also give feedback on the government's target of making 60percent of schools in poor townships "no-fees schools".
